PENENTUAN ARAH RUPTURE MENGGUNAKAN EVALUASI DURASI RUPTURE DI DAERAH SUMATRA

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan judul Penentuan arah rupture  menggunakan evaluasi durasi rupture di daerah pulau Sumatra yang bertujuan untuk mengantisipasi daerah  yang akan berpotensi gempa susulan guna mengurangi korban jiwa,  dengan metode estimasi durasi rupture menggunakan software Joko Tingkir kemudian membandingkan dan mengambil hasil durasi rupture terkecil diantara masing-masing stasiun perekam sebagai praduga sementara. Dengan metode tersebut, didapatkan hasil beberapa arah rupture pada beberapa even gempa bumi, yang pertama, pada gempa 7.7 Mw memiliki arah rupture ke arah tenggara menuju stasiun WNAO (Australia) dengan durasi 30.46 s, pada gempa bumi 8.2 Mw memiliki arah rupture mendekati stasiun WUS (China) dengan durasi 137.8 s,  dan , pada gempa bumi 8.1 Mw memiliki arah rupture ke selatan menenggara searah stasiun WNAO dengan durasi 104.65 s dimana setiap even gempa sudah ditunjukkan beserta gempa susulan masing-masing. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi data durasi rupture didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa arah rupture bisa ditentukan dengan durasi rupture dan titik–titik episenter gempa bumi susulan akan banyak terjadi di daerah yang dilalui oleh arah patahan rupture.

Abstract


The research titled determining the direction of rupture using the duration of the evaluation rupture in Sumatra island which purposes to anticipate areas that will potentially aftershocks to reduce fatalities, with estimate of rupture duration method using software Joko Tingkir then compare and retrieve results rupture duration of the smallest from the other one as a temporary presumption. With this method, showed several directions rupture in several earthquake events, the first at Mw 7.7 earthquake rupture direction to southeast direction toward the station WNAO (Australia) with a duration of 30.46 s, the earthquake 8.2 Mw earth has a rupture direction approaching the station WUS (China) with a duration of 137.8 s and the Mw 8.1 earthquake has a south-southeast direction to the direction of rupture WNAO station with a duration of 104.65 s,  where in each seismic events has been demonstrated along with each aftershock. Based on the results of the evaluation of the data it was concluded that the duration of the rupture could rupture direction is determined by the duration of the rupture and dots epicenter of the earthquake aftershocks will be a lot happening in the area traversed by the direction of the fault rupture.
