Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains Materi Getaran Harmonik di MAN Sidoarjo

Abstract


Rendahnya keterampilan proses sains di MAN Sidoarjo menyebabkan peserta didik kurang terlatih untuk menemukan sendiri fakta atau konsep periode pada materi getaran harmonik. Hal ini disebabkan karena dalam proses pembelajaran fisika, peserta didik belum pernah melakukan percobaan. Salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat melatihkan dan meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains adalah model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan mendeskripsikan respon peserta didik setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental dengan desain one group pre-test and post-test. Variabel penelitian meliputi variabel bebas yaitu model inkuiri terbimbing, variabel terikat yaitu keterampilan proses sains dan variabel kontrol yaitu materi getaran harmonik, kemampuan awal peserta didik, dan alokasi waktu pembelajaran. Peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis n-gain, dilanjutkan menggunakan uji-t berpasangan, kemudian dilakukan analisis varians satu arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terlaksana dengan sangat baik; (2) hasil keterampilan proses sains meningkat secara signifikan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing; (3) peserta didik memberikan respon yang sangat baik setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulakn bahwa, model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik.

Abstract


 


The low skills in the science process in MAN Sidoarjo has resulted in inadequately trained learners to discover the facts or concepts of periods on harmonic vibration materials. This is because in the process of physics learning, learners have never done an experiment. One of the learning that can trained and improve the science process skill is the guided inquiry learning model. Therefore, a study aimed to describe the implementation of learning, describe the improvement of science process skills and to describe the response of learners after the implementation of guided inquiry learning model. The type of research used is pre-experimental with one group pre-test and post-test design. The research variables include the independent variables of guided inquiry model, the dependent variable that is the science process skill and the control variables are harmonic vibration material, the students  initial ability, and the allocation of learning time. Improved science process skills were analyzed using n-gain analysis, followed by paired t-test, then one-way variance analysis. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of learning by applying the guided inquiry learning model performed very well; (2) the result of science process skills increased significantly after applied guided inquiry learning model; (3) students responded very well after applied guided inquiry learning model to improve science process skills. Based on the result of the research, it is concluded that the guided inquiry learning model has an effect on improving the students learning process skills.
