MEDIA PERMAINAN TRADISIONAL BOY-BOYAN UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN SIFAT-SIFAT SISTEM PERIODIK UNSUR SMA KELAS X (TRADITIONAL GAME MEDIA BOY-BOYAN FOR LEARNING ON CHARACTERISTIC PERIODIC SYSTEM OF ELEMENT CLASS X SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL)

Abstract


Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan media permainan tradisional Boy-Boyan yang dikembangkan sebagai media pembelajaran materi pokok sistem periodik unsur. Kelayakan tersebut ditinjau dari kriteria isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, persyaratan permainan pendidikan dan efektifitas media berdasar respon siswa, aktifitas siswa, dan hasil belajar. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research dan Development (R&D) dengan langkah-langkah model ASSURE untuk pemilihan media. Metode R&D terdiri dari 2 tahap yaitu (1) tahap pendahuluan terdiri dari studi literatur dan studi lapangan dan pemilihan media sehingga didapatkan draft rancangan yang selanjutnya direvisi, divalidasi dan diujicobakan ditahap (2) pengembangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase penilaian rata-rata sebesar 87,27% berdasarkan kriteria isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, dan persyaratan permainan pendidikan. Sedangkan respon siswa diperoleh skor sebesar 96,30%, observasi aktifitas siswa diperoleh nilai sebesar 92,22% dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 88,89% dari skor kriterium dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa media permainan tradisional Boy-Boyan pada materi sistem periodik unsur layak dan efektif  digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran saat uji coba terbatas pada 9 siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Gurah Kediri.

The goal of this study was to determine the feasibility of the traditional game media of Boy-Boyan that developed as a media of learning the subject matter of the periodic system of elements. The elegibility evaluated from the criteria of content, language, presentation, the requirements of educational games and effectiveness media based on respon students following the effectiveness students activity, and the results of the study. Type of study used is Research and Development (R & D) with the measures ASSURE for media selection. R & D method consists of two stages: (1) a preliminary stage consists of literature studies and field studies and media selection to obtain the draft plan which was subsequently revised, validated and tested in the (2) development stage. Research shows that percentage average of 87.27% based on the criteria of content, language, presentation, and requirements of educational games. While the response of students obtained a score of 96.30%, observation of activities students obtained a value of 92.22% and mastery learning classical score of 88.89% of the criterion by very decent criterion. The results showed that media of traditional games Boy-Boyan on system material of the element periodic is feasible and effective for used while testing is limited to 9 students of class X in SMAN 1 Gurah Kediri.
