Abstract,


To be able to achieve a speed dribble in the game of football should have a good physical condition as well, especially in the muscles of the lower extremities, namely the leg muscles that are used to pick the thigh and resisted when dribbling run. In addition to leg muscle, agility also affects the speed dribble, with high agility of players capable of changing the direction and position of the body quickly and precisely when dribbling moves.


This study aims to determine: 1) To know is there a relationship between leg muscle strength with speed dribble. 2) To know is there a relationship between agility with speed dribble. 3) To know is there a relationship between leg muscle strength and agility with speed dribble. 4) To determine the contribution of leg muscle strength and agility to speed dribble. The sample was a football school students (SSB) HW Babat U-15 totaling 20 students, using purposive sampling of the entire student population of the SSB HW Babat U-15. This type of research that will be used is descriptive research-quantitative correlational design with a causal relationship.


Based on the calculation results of the data analysis obtained calculated F value is greater than F table (5.1281> 3:59), which means that there is a significant correlation between leg muscle strength and agility with speed dribble. The magnitude of the relationship between leg muscle strength and agility with speed dribble of 37.64%. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between leg muscle strength and agility with speed dribble the soccer school students (SSB), the greater the leg muscle strength and agility of the greater speed dribbling soccer school student (SSB).
