Abstract


The speech ability is ability of a person to say the articulation of words intended to express feelings , thoughts , and desires , so that it can communicate with other people . If the child has a barrier in seech ability  there will be a delay in language development , especially Indonesian subjects . Therefore we need a method that can allow children with autism to receive instruction and motivate children to say, which the ABA method . Children with autism are children who have social developmental disabilities that affect the way a person to communicate and relate to others.


Based on the discussion above and the importance of addressing these discussion , the researcher did a research about enhancing speech ability through ABA methods to autism children in SLB Kemala Bhayangkari Gresik . This research uses a single subject research ( SSR ) with the A-B-A research design wich was done for 22 sessions with documentation of data collection techniques and participant observation.


From the reserch results above , the data range is 8-12 times the baseline phase with the trend of stability , which means 50 % are not stable , whereas the intervention phase data range is 12-17 times with 90 % inclination stability means stable , and the range of data repetition is the baseline phase 9-14 times with a tendency to 83.3 % which means that stability is unstable . While the percentage of overlap of data baseline to the intervention phase was 0 % and the intervention phase to phase repetition baseline was 16.67 %.


Based on the analysis data result, it could be concluded that ABA method could enhance speech ability to autism children in SLB Kemala Bhayangkari Gresik .
