PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA BASIC ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION DAN JOB SHEET PADA MATA PELAJARAN INSTALASI PENERANGAN LISTRIK DI KELAS XI-TITL SMK NEGERI 1 JATIREJO KABUPATEN MOJOKERTO

Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari hasil observasi di SMKN 1 Jatirejo bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran instalasi listrik menggunakan metode ceramah, siswa hanya mendengarkan penjelasan singkat dari guru kemudian mencatat apa yang dituliskan guru di papan tulis sehingga banyak yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi. Pada saat kegiatan praktikum instalasi listrik alat dan bahan yang disediakan sekolah masih terbatas sehingga diperlukan pendukung media tertentu agar efektif dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Menguji kevalidan media pembelajaran Basic Electrical Installation dan job sheet yang dibuat; (2) Menguji kepraktisan media pembelajaran Basic Electrical Installation dan job sheet yang dilaksanakan ditinjau dari respon siswa dan aktivitas siswa; (3) Menguji keefektifan media pembelajaran Basic Electrical Installation dan job sheet yang dibuat ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Develompment). Desain penelitiannya menggunakan pre-test-post-test control group design. Tahap penelitian yang digunakan mengacu pada metode R&D oleh Sugiono yang diadaptasi menjadi 7 langkah penelitian dan pengembangan, yaitu: (1) tahap potensi dan masalah; (2) tahap pengumpulan data; (3) tahap desain produk; (4) tahap validasi produk; (5) tahap revisi produk; (6) tahap uji coba produk; dan (7) tahap analisis dan pelaporan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan lembar validasi, lembar aktivitas siswa, lembar respon siswa, dan hasil belajar pretest-posttest.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran sebagai berikut: (1) aspek validitas trainer dan job sheet, untuk rerata penilaian kevalidan trainer sebesar 86,67% dalam kategori sangat valid sedangkan rerata penilaian kevalidan job sheet sebesar 86,87% dalam kategori sangat valid, (2) aspek kepraktisan yang ditinjau dari respon dan aktivitas siswa, untuk rerata penilaian hasil angket respon siswa terhadap trainer sebesar 88,52% dalam kategori sangat baik sedangkan rerata penilaian hasil angket respon siswa terhadap job sheet sebesar 91,03% dalam kategori sangat baik, untuk rerata penilaian aktivitas siswa sebesar 81,37% dalam kategori sangat baik, (3) aspek efektifitas yang ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa, hasil belajar ranah kognitif menunjukkan penilaian sebesar 86,67%, hasil belajar ranah afektif menunjukkan penilaian sebesar 86,67%, sedangkan hasil belajar ranah psikomotor menunjukkan penilaian sebesar 82,95% dalam kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut diketahui bahwa tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran trainer, job sheet, respon siswa, aktivitas siwa dan hasil belajar siswa dari segi ranah afektif, ranah kognitif dan ranah psikomotor yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran instalasi penerangan listrik di SMK Negeri 1 Jatirejo.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the observation results at Jatirejo Mojokerto 1 Vocational High School that in the learning process of electrical installations using the lecture method, students only listened to brief explanation from the teacher and take notes what the teacher wrote on the board so that many experienced difficulties in understanding the material. At the time of practical activities the electrical installation, the tools and materials provided by the school is still limited so that supporting media is needed to be effective in teaching and learning activities. This research aims to: (1) to examine the validity of Basic Electrical Installation and job sheets learning media; (2) to examine the practicality of Basic Electrical Installation and job sheet learning media in terms of student responses and activities; (3) to examine the effectiveness of Basic Electrical Installation and job sheet learning media in terms of student learning outcomes.

This research is development (Research and Development).The design of study uses pre-test-post-test control group design. The steps based on the method of R & D by the Sugiono adapted into seven steps in research and development: (1) potential and problems phase; (2) data collection phase; (3) product design phase; (4) product validation phase; (5) product revision phase; (6) product trials phase; and (7) analysis and report phase. The data collection uses validation sheets, student activity sheets, student response sheets, and the result of pre-test and post-test.

The results of study show that the qualification of media of learning are as follow: (1) the validity aspect of trainer and job sheet, the average of trainer validity shows 86,87% which means a very valid category, meanwhile the average result of job sheet percentage shows 86,87% which also means a very valid category, (2) the practical aspect through students activity and respond, the average of trainer validity shows 88,52% which means a very good category, meanwhile the average result of job sheet percentage shows 91,03% which means a very good category, the average of students activity reaches 81,73% that includes in a good category, (3) the effectiveness aspect based on students study report, shows that the result of cognitive study shows 86,67%, the affective study space shows 86,67%, meanwhile the psychomotor study space shows 82,95% in very good category. Based on the results of these studies, it is revealed that the trainer, job sheet, students respond, the report of students study in cognitive space, affective space, and psychomotor space which are developed are suitable as learnings media during electrical lamp installation in Jatirejo 1 Vocational High School.
