Pengembangan Trainer Weather Station dengan Sistem Wireless Sensor Network sebagai Media Pembelajaran pada Mata Pelajaran Mikroprosesor dan Mikrokontroler di SMK Negeri 1 Blitar

Abstract


Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil observasi di SMKN 1 Blitar bahwa trainer yang tersedia di Jurusan Teknik Elektronika Industri kurang memadai untuk mata pelajaran Mikroprosesor dan Mikrokontroler. Hal ini membuat siswa kurang memiliki motivasi dalam belajar sehingga siswa kurang memahami dan menguasai materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Hal tersebut dibuktikan bahwa hasil belajar siswa masih kurang baik dan beberapa siswa belum mencapai KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Trainer Weather Station yang layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Mikroprosesor dan Mikrokontroler dengan aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan pembelajaran. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) yang memiliki 9 tahapan yaitu: (1) potensi dan masalah, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) desain dan produk, (4) validasi produk, (5) revisi produk 1, (6) uji coba produk, (7) revisi produk 2, (8) uji coba pemakaian terbatas, dan (9) analisis dan pelaporan. Pengambilan data untuk validasi dilakukan pada validator, sedangkan pengambilan data angket respons dan hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh (1) hasil validasi diperoleh rating validasi trainer sebesar 83,08% dengan kategori sangat valid dan rating validasi jobsheet sebesar 75,89% dengan kategori valid. (2) hasil respons siswa mendapat hasil rating sebesar 79,21% dengan kategori praktis. (3) Hasil belajar siswa terjadi perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan setelah menggunakan trainer. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Trainer Weather Station dengan Sistem Wireless Sensor Network layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Mikroprosesor dan Mikrokontroler di SMK Negeri 1 Blitar.

This research is started by the results of observations at SMKN 1 Blitar that trainers available in the Industrial Electronics Engineering Department are still inadequate for subject of Microprocessor and Microcontroller.. This makes students have less motivation in learning so students do not understand and master the material delivered by the teacher. It is proven that student learning outcomes are still not good and some students have not yet reached KKM. The aim of this study is producing Trainer Weather Station with learning media which proper to use as a learning media on the subjects of Microprocessors and Microcontrollers with validity aspects, practicality and effectiveness of learning. The research method uses Research and Development (R & D) which has 9 stages, they are : (1) problem and potential, (2) collecting data, (3) desaign and product, (4) product validation, (5) product 1 revision, (6) trial test product, (7) product revision, (8) limited trial test usage, and (9) analysis and reporting. Validation data is taken from the validator, meanwhile data for questionnaire response and result of study. Based on result of the study, it could be summarized that (1) validation trainer rating as much as 80,3% is obtained by the result of validation with a very valid category, and jobsheet validation rating as much as 75,89% with a valid category. (2) the result of student’s response get a rating musch as 79,21% which is categorized as practical. (3) result study of the students have significant average difference after using the trainer. Based on the result, it could be sumarized that Trainer Weather Station with Wireless Sensor Network system is a proper to use as media for microprossesor and microcontroller subject in SMK Negeri 1 Blitar.
