PERBANDINGAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA YANG MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NHT DENGAN TIPE JIGSAW DI SMKN 1 JETIS MOJOKERTO

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membedakan hasil kerja siswa antara pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw dan NHT untuk menjawab permasalahan kondisi proses pembelajaran yang masih menggunakan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi sehingga mengakibatkan siswa merasa jenuh, bosan, kurang termotivasi, tidak bias mengemukakan, tidak bekerja sama, tidak terlibat dalam kelompok, tidak berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran, tidak efektif, dan mempengaruhi minat belajar dari masing – masing siswa.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experimental Design dengan menggunakan desain posttest equivalent group. Pengumpulan data melalui tes, observasi, dan angket. Sampel dari penelitian adalah kelas X EI 1 dan X EI 2, penentuan kelas yang diberi model pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw atau NHT ditentukan dengan randomisasi melalui undian.

Dari hasil tes hasil belajar (postest) penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw lebih baik dari pada metode pembelajaran kooperatif NHT dengan rata-rata nilai siswa 77,19 untuk kelas yang diberi metode pembelajaran Jigsaw dan nilai rata-rata 68,22 untuk kelas yang diberi metode pembelajaran NHT. Analisis uji hipotesis mendapatkan nilai Thitung= 4,431 > Ttabel= 1,67 (α=0,05), sehingga prioritas H1 diterima dan Ho ditolak, hal ini berarti hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode kooperatif Jigsaw berbeda signifikan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode kooperatif NHT.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to compare the difference between students who are taught using cooperative learning “jigsaw” and those who are taught using cooperative learning NHT (Numbering Head Together). It is used to solve the problems of teaching learning process which use teacher centre approach where the teacher still dominate the class so that students boredom cannot be avoided. This teaching style make students unmotivated to learn more because they has less chance to participate during the teaching learning process.

The design of this research is Quasi Experimental Design which uses posttest equivalent group design. The data is collected through test, observation sheet and questionnaire. The subjects of the study in this research are the students from two different classes that are X EI 1 and X EI 2 where the Jigsaw class and NHT class were choosen randomly by lottery.

According to the result of the posttest the implementation of cooperative learning “JIGSAW” is better than the implementation of cooperative learning “NHT”, because the result shows that the average of the students score for those who has been taught using “JIGSAW” is 77,19 while the “NHT” classes the average score is about 68,22. The hypotheses analysis find (T hitung= 4,431 > T table = 1,67 (α= 0,05), consequently the priority of H1 is accepted and Ho is refused, it means that the result of students’ work  which apply “jigsaw was significantly different with the result of students which applied cooperative learning “NHT”.
