Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini didasari rendahnya aktivitas siswa,  hasil belajar, dan respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran konvensional yang dilaksanakan oleh guru di SMK Dharma Bahari Surabaya pada kelas X TKR pada mata pelajaran TDO. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) mengetahui bagaimana aktivitas siswa setelah diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share (TPS), (2) mengetahui hasil belajar siswa kelas X TKR 5 pada mata pelajaran Teknik Dasar Otomotif dan (3) mengetahui bagaimana respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran.


Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), subyek penelitian adalah siswa X TKR 5 SMK Dharma Bahari Surabaya tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 41 siswa dan objek model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share. Variabel-variabel penelitian adalah aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, respon siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi dan angket yang diaplikasikan dalam bentuk instrumen penelitian.


Hasil penelitian yaitu meningkatkan aktivitas siswa terhadap model pembelajaran TPS pada siklus I sebesar 71,84%, Siklus II 86,16%. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 70,73%, siklus II 82,92%, respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran sebesar 82,07% .

Abstract


Classroom Action Research is based on low student activity, learning outcomes, and student responses to the conventional learning model implemented by teachers at SMK Dharma Bahari Surabaya in class X TKR on TDO subjects. The purpose of this study is (1) to know how the students activity after learning using Think Pair and Share (TPS) model, (2) to know the learning result of the students of class X TKR 5 on the subjects of Basic Automotive Engineering and (3) to know how the students response learning model.
This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), research subjects are students X TKR 5 SMK Dharma Bahari Surabaya academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 41 students and object model learning Think Pair and Share. Research variables are student activities, student learning outcomes, student responses. Data collection techniques used are tests, observations and questionnaires that are applied in the form of research instruments.
The result of research that is increase student activity to model of TPS learning in cycle I equal to 71,84%, Cycle II 86,16%. Student learning outcomes in cycle I of 70.73%, cycle II 82.92%, student response to the learning model of 82.07%
