PENERAPAN GRAPHIC ORGANIZER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DALAM KOMPETENSI DASAR MENGANALISIS PENATAAN MEJA (TABLE SET UP) MATA PELAJARAN TATA HIDANG PADA KELAS XI JASA BOGA 2 DI SMK NEGERI 1 BUDURAN SIDOARJO

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan graphic organizer untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, serta untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dan respon siswa pada kompetensi dasar menganalisis penataan meja (table set up) mata pelajaran Tata Hidang. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Jasa Boga 2 di SMK Negeri 1 Buduran. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pre- Experimental Design dengan menggunakan desain pre-test and post-test group.

Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes (pre-test dan post-test), angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada penerapan graphic organizer dibagi menjadi dua tahap yakni tahap persiapan dan tahap pelaksanaan. Tahap persiapan meliputi penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran dan telah melewati uji validasi dengan skor rata-rata 92.02% dan masuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Pada tahap pelaksanaan meliputi kegiatan pengelolaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali pertemuan dan mendapat skor rata-rata 92.4% serta masuk dalam kategori sangat baik.

Hasil belajar siswa dalam penerapan graphic organizer pada kompeteni dasar menganalisis penataan meja (table set up) pada ranah afektif mendapat nilai rata-rata 3,24 untuk aspek sikap responsif, mandiri, kreatif dan disiplin dan masuk dalam kategori baik. Ranah kognitif mengalami peningkatan dengan adanya perbedaan nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 49.88 dengan nilai rata-rata post-test sebesar 81.34 sehingga dinyatakan berbeda secara signifikan. Ranah psikomotor berupa tugas hasil karya membuat graphic organizer mendapat nilai rata-rata 2.88 yang masuk dalam kategori baik.

Aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran mendapat persentase rata-rata 89.5% yang masuk dalam kategori sangat baik dan respon siswa mendapat persentase sebesar 90.52% yang masuk dalam kategori sangat baik.

This research aims to describe how the application of graphic organizers to improve student learning outcomes, as well as to know the activity of the students and the response of the students on the basic competence to analyze table set up on subject table serving. The subject of the research in this study are students of grade cullinary service 2 at SMK Negeri 1 Buduran. This research uses the Pre-Experimental Design using design pre test and post test group.

Data collection using the method of observation, test (pre-test and post-test), the question form and documentation. Research results indicate that on the application of graphic organizer is divided into two phases i.e. phase of preparation and implementation stages. Preparation phase includes the preparation of a learning device and has passed the validation test with an average score of 92.02% and fall into the category of very decent. At this stage of the implementation includes the activities of the management study conducted by as much as 2 times and got an average score of 92.4% and fall into the category of excellent.

Student’s learning outcomes in the application of the graphic organizer on the basis competence of analyze table set up on the affective domain gets an average rating of 3.24 to aspects of the responsive attitude, independent, creative and disciplined and fall into the category of good. The cognitive domain has increased with the differences of the average value of pre-test of 49.88 with average value of post-test of 81.34 so stated to differ significantly. Psychomotor domain be the task of the work of making graphic organizer gets an average rating 2.88 that fall into the category of good.

The activity of the students during the learning gets a percentage of the average of 89.5% in the category very well and the response of the students got a percentage of 90.52% which fall into the category of exellent.
