PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN GUIDED DISCOVERY PADA MATERI PENCEMARAN DI SMP NEGERI 3 SIDOARJO

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran guided discovery, menentukan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, dan respons siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Sidoarjo setelah mengikuti proses belajar mengajar. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran guided discovery ditinjau dari hasil pengamatan kegiatan pembelajaran, peningkatan hasil belajar siswa ditinjau dari hasil prestest dan posttest siswa dan hasil pengamatan keterampilan siswa, dan respons siswa ditinjau dari hasil penilaian angket respons siswa.


Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental Design, dengan menggunakan desain penelitian One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar penilaian pretest dan posttest, lembar pengamatan keterampilan siswa, dan angket respons siswa.


Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran telah terlaksana dengan sangat baik dengan persentase pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 85% dan pada pertemuan kedua sebesar 86,45%. Capaian hasil belajar siswa pada ranah pengetahuan secara klasikal mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,43 dengan kategori sedang dan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Capaian hasil belajar pada ranah keterampilan mencapai rata-rata pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 3,27 dan pada pertemuan kedua sebesar 3,40. Peningkatan hasil belajar pada ranah keterampilan adalah sebesar 0,35 dengan kategori sedang. Respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran guided discovery juga sangat baik dengan persentase sebesar 92,79%.

Abstract


The purposes of this research were to describe the application of guided discovery learning, to find out the students learning outcomes, and to find out the response of students in SMP Negeri 3 Sidoarjo after following teaching and learning process. This application was reviewed by the result of learning activities observation. Then, the improvement of students learning outcomes was reviewed by the result of pre-test and post-test and the result of student’s skill observation, and the student’s response was reviewed by the result of student’s response questionnaire assessment.


The type of this research was Pre-Experimental Design using One-Group Pretest-Posttest research design. This research was conducted in twice meetings. The research instrument was observation sheet of learning application, assessment sheet of pre-test and post-test, observation sheet of students’ skill, and students’ response questionnaire. 


The result of this research showed that the observation result of learning application was conducted very well with percentage of 85% in the first meeting and 86.45% in the second meeting. Achievement of students learning outcomes in knowledge has increased classically by 0.43 with moderate category and getting increased significantly. Also, the achievement of students learning outcomes in skills have reached the average of completeness in the first meeting is 3.27 and in the second meeting is 3.40. Achievement of student learning outcomes in skill has increased by 0.35 with moderate category.  Response from students for the learning with guided discovery model was also very good with percentage of 92.79%.
