PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR IPA TERPADU TEMA LETUSAN GUNUNG BERAPI KELAS VII DI SMP NEGERI 1 KAMAL

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan, hasil belajar dan respons siswa terhadap bahan ajar IPA Terpadu tema Letusan Gunung Berapi yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar dengan sasaran penelitian berupa bahan ajar IPA Terpadu tema Letusan Gunung Berapi  untuk kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Kamal. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah ahli materi dan ahli bahasa sebagai penelaah, validator sebagai penilai kelayakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan, serta 10 siswa kelas VII-B di SMP Negeri 1 Kamal. Rancangan penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahapan yaitu tahap pengembangan yang mengacu pada model pengembangan 4-D (four D models) dan tahap uji coba. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket dan tes hasil belajar, sedangkan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar telaah, lembar validasi, lembar tes dan lembar angket respons siswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif untuk hasil telaah dan deskriptif kuantiatif dari persentase hasil validasi, tes hasil belajar dan respons siswa untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan bahan ajar IPA Terpadu yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar IPA Terpadu tema Letusan Gunung Berapi kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Kamal yang dikembangkan telah layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran karena telah memenuhi kelayakan berdasarkan kriteria kelayakan materi, penyajian, bahasa, dan komponen bahan ajar, masing-masing dengan persentase berturut-turut sebesar 90,00%; 84,29%; 82,00%; dan 87,85% yang semua kriteria tersebut termasuk dalam kategori sangat kuat. Analisis data tes hasil belajar kepada 10 siswa kelas VII-B diperoleh ketuntasan individual yaitu 8 siswa tuntas dan 2 siswa yang tidak tuntas dengan ketuntasan klasikal 80% dan nilai ini sesuai dengan kriteria ketuntasan ≥70%. Respons siswa terhadap bahan ajar IPA Terpadu tema Letusan Gunung Berapi ditinjau dari keterbacaan bahan ajar diperoleh persentase sebesar 86,25% dan penggunaan bahan ajar IPA Terpadu diperoleh persentase sebesar 87,78%. Hasil di atas menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar IPA Terpadu tema Letusan Gunung Berapi layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

This research is conducted to description feasibility, learning outcomes and student responses toward science integrated’s text book in the Volcanic Eruption topic which have been developed. This research is the development research of the book which the goal this research is the book of science integrated for student in the Volcanic Eruption for VII grade in Junior High School 1 Kamal. The sources of data in this research are matter experts and linguists, validator, and 10 students of class VII-B in Junior High School 1 Kamal. The research design using two stage, the first stage is the development of four D models and the last stage is the test phase. Method of data collection use questionnaire and test learning outcomes, while the instruments research use review sheet, validation sheet, test sheets and questionnaires of student response. A method of data analysis was done by descriptively qualitative for analysis the result of the text book review and descriptively of the percentages of validation, test learning outcomes and student responses to description the feasibility toward the text book which have been developed. The results showed that the science integrated’s text book in Volcanic Eruption matter for VII grade in Junior High School 1 Kamal has been developed feasible to use in the learning process because it has met the eligibility criteria they matter, presentation, language teaching materials and components, each with a percentage respectively for 90.00%, 84.29%, 82.00% and 87.85% with all criteria in the category is very strong. Achievement test data to the 10 students of class VII-B acquired mastery is 8 students complete individual and 2 students who did not complete the classical completeness 80% and this value is in accordance with the criteria of ≥ 70% completeness. Students responses to the topic of Integrated Science text book Volcanic Eruption  in terms of readability of instructional materials obtained 86.25% and the percentage of students’ response questionnaire after using the Integrated Science teaching materials obtained a percentage of 87.78%. The above results indicate that the Integrated Science text book Volcanic Eruption topic deserves to be used.
