Keefektifan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) Berbasis Discovery Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa

Abstract


Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keefektifan lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) berbasis discovery learning pada materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu 4D meliputi tahapan pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develope), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Pada penelitian ini dibatasi sampai tahap pengembangan saja. Kelayakan LKS berbasis discovery learning dapat ditinjau dari hasil analisis pre-test dan post-test siswa. Analisis hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan siswa pada saat post-test sebesar 89%. Selain itu berdasarkan hasil analisis gain diperoleh bahwa 26 siswa memeroleh nilai gain dengan kategori tinggi, sedangkan 10 siswa lainnya memeroleh nilai gain dengan kategori sedang. Pada analisis ketuntasan tiap aspek diperoleh nilai gain yang bervarisi pada setiap aspek keterampilan proses sains (KPS). Pada aspek membuat hipotesis, mengidentifikasi variabel, dan membuat kesimpulan memeroleh nilai gain dengan kategori tinggi. Data yang diperoleh tersebut menunjukan bahwa LKS telah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan yang ditinjau dari aspek keefektifan dan menunjukkan bahwa LKS dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan LKS, discovery learning, keterampilan proses sains Abstract This research aims to describe the effectiveness of student activity sheet (LKS) based on discovery learning on environmental pollution to improve students science process skill. The development model used is 4D covering the defining stages (define), design (design), development (develope), and disseminate (disseminate). This study is limited to the development stage only. The feasibility of LKS based on discovery learning can be reviewed from the result of pre-test and post-test of students. Analysis of pre-test and post-test results showed that students completeness at post-test was 89%. In addition, based on the results of gain analysis obtained that 26 students get the gain value with high category, while the other 10 students earn the gain value with the category of being. In the completeness analysis of each aspect, there is a gain value that is inherited in every aspect of science process skill (KPS). In the aspect of making the hypothesis, identifying the variables, and making conclusions get the value of the gain with high category. The data obtained shows that the LKS has met the eligibility criteria reviewed from the aspects of effectiveness and indicates that the LKS can be used to improve the skills of the science process.Key words: worksheet development, discovery learning, science process skills.
