Abstrak

Berdasarkan kurikulum KTSP yang mengacu pada UU no.20 tahun 2003 tentang Sikdiknas, siswa SMP diberikan pelajaran kimia yang disajikan dalam mata pelajaran sains. Sedangkan dari hasil studi pendahuluan pada 81 siswa sebanyak 39% siswa menyatakan materi unsur,senyawa, campuran merupakan materi yang sulit. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu metode yang menarik dan menyenangkan sehingga dapat menarik minat siswa SMP untuk belajar. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian penerapan media zuma chemistry game dengan model kooperatif tipe TGT (Teams Games Tournament) pada materi unsur,senyawa,campuran yang bertujuan untuk menarik minat pada saat pembelajaran sehingga siswa termotivasi untuk belajar, agar hasil belajar siswa dapat mencapai 75 %.Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan dengan sasaran siswa kelas VIIC MTsN Surabaya II. Pada pertemuan pertama dan kedua peneliti melakukan proses pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe TGT, sedangkan pada pertemuan ketiga peneliti melaksanakan turnamen dengan menggunakan media Zuma Chemistry Games. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan “One Group Pretest Postest Design”. Aspek yang dinilai meliputi: hasil belajar, dan motivasi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan ketuntasannya meningkat sebesar 84,38%. Motivasi intrinsik siswa sebesar 85,28% dan motivasi ekstrinsik siswa sebesar 82,02%.

Abstract

KTSP is based curriculum that refers to UU no.20 year 2003 on Sikdiknas, junior high school students are given chemistry lessons presented in the science subjects. While the results of a preliminary study on 81 students as much 39% of students stated the material elements, compounds, mixtures is a difficult matter. For that we need a method of exciting and fun can attract junior high school students to learn. Based on the description, the application of media zuma chemistry game with a cooperative model type TGT (Teams Games Tournament) on the material elements, compounds, mixtures which aims to attract students' learning so that when students are motivated to learn, that the results of student learning can reach 75%. The research was performed three times with the target student class VIIC in MTsN Surabaya II. At the first meeting and the two researchers conducted the study with a model of cooperative type TGT, while the third meeting of researchers carrying out the tournament by using the media Zuma Chemistry Games. The study design using the "One Group Pretest Postest Design". Aspects considered include: results of student learning, and student motivation. The results showed that, results of student learning based  completed increased by 84.38%. Students' intrinsic motivation by 85.28% and students extrinsic motivation 82.02%.
