The Oxidized Cholesterol Strategy

by regina fancy (2020-02-08)

I've lived my life citing a couple mantras. The Oxidized Cholesterol Strategy Review One from Bob Dylan -- "Those not busy being born are busy dyin'." Another from Yevgeny Yevtusheko -- 'Don't die before you're dead'. I've never had my life saved before. Now death is more than a metaphor. Perhaps old age is the age of miracles. Or at least the profound realization of life as miracle. Take it to heart. Literally.Zocor (symvastatin) is a drug of the statins family produced by Merck. It artificially lowers blood cholesterol. It is derived synthetically from a fermentation product of Aspergillus terreus. It inhibits an enzyme in the liver necessary for the production of cholesterol. This decreases the amount of cholesterol found in the liver cells, which causes them to take up LDL cholesterol from the blood. The combination of decreased cholesterol production and increased removal of LDL particles from the blood eventually results in lowered blood cholesterol levels. It is suggested that Zocor tablets are taken in the evening before bedtime. This is because the body produces most cholesterol at night; therefore statins are generally more effective if taken at that time. All statins are associated with severe side effects and the same goes for Zocor as well. Liver and kidneys damages, muscle breakdown (rabdomyolysis) and subsequent pain, impaired cognitive functions (especially short term memory and concentration), constipation and insomnia are just the most common (commonly reported) ones.
