ABSTRACT
Mild mentally retardation children experiencing barriers to think abstractly, and thus require learning can help overcome the barriers experienced. Results of preliminary observations in SDLB Negeri Sambirejo Tanjunganom Nganjuk mild mentally retardation in children, demonstrated their ability to adding numbers are still low. The cause to the learning methods that are less attractive, so that children are easily bored mild mentally retardation, mild mentally retardation in addition to the children easily influenced by the environment, so that the child mild mentally retardation in SDLB Sambirejo Tanjunganon Nganjuk need for modification in learning. One of the modifications that need to be examined in the learning is cooperative learning make a match modification
The purpose of this study was to prove the influence of cooperative learning make a match modification to the ability to match the adding of the numbers in the mild mentally retardation in children SDLB Negeri Sambirejo Tanjunganom Nganjuk. This study uses a quantitative approach, the type of research pre-experimental research design using pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and documentation. Data were analyzed using analysis formulas sign test (test mark).
Results of this study are before applying cooperative learning make a match modification of the average value of the sum of the child's ability mild mental retardation was 38.75 after applying cooperative learning make a match modification of the average value of the sum of the child's ability mild mental retardation is 75.625. The results also showed ZH count 2,475, while ZH table 5% ie 1.96.
