PEMBELAJARAN EKSTRAKURIKULER KARAWITAN GITA LARAS DI SD NEGERI BETRO KECAMATAN KEMLAGI KABUPATEN MOJOKERTO

Abstract


Seni Karawitan merupakan kesenian tradisional khas Indonesia yang harus dilestarikan. Memperkenalkan seni karawitan sejak dini dapat menumbuhkan rasa cinta terhadap kesenian tradisional serta mampu melestarikan kebudayaan tradisional yang ada di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler karawitan Gita Laras di SD Negeri Betro, menjelaskan hasil belajar dan kesiapan dalam menghadapi kompetisi serta prestasi yang sudah didapatkan oleh Gita Laras.
Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif yang mengambil latar di SD Negeri Betro Kecamatan Kemlagi Kabupaten Mojokerto. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui proses pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan simpulan atau verifikasi.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler karawitan Gita Laras di SD Negeri Betro bertujuan untuk melestarikan kesenian tradisional asli Indonesia dan wadah untuk mengembangkan bakat dan minat siswa. Ekstrakurikuler ini diikuti oleh 23 siswa yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok latihan. Materi yang diberikan tiap kelompoknya berbeda tingkat kesulitannya. Metode yang digunakan meliputi metode latihan, drill, mentoring dan ceramah dengan media papan tulis dan catatan siswa. Hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa sudah memuaskan, 14 siswa mendapat nilai A (sangat  baik) dan 9 siswa dengan nilai B (baik). Penilaian siswa berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria yang dibuat oleh pelatih. Siswa yang mendapatkan nilai A berhak menjadi tim inti untuk persiapan lomba. Dibutuhkan minimal 2 bulan untuk latihan intensif persiapan lomba. Materi yang diajarkan disesuaikan dengan tema dalam suatu perlombaan. Penata musik Gita Laras selalu mempersiapkan materi dengan matang agar memperoleh hasil terbaik. Tercatat 21 kejuaraan yang telah diperoleh Gita Laras hingga sekarang. Prestasi dalam perlombaan tingkat kabupaten, propinsi maupun nasional.

Karawitan musical arts is an Indonesian traditional art that must be preserved. Introducing karawitan musical art from the early age can build love to the traditional arts and also contribute for preserving the traditional arts in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of the learning of Gita Laras Karawitan musical arts as extracurricular in Betro State Elementary School, explaining the learning result and the preparedness in facing a competition and also the rewardsthat has been reached by Gita Laras.
This research used qualitative data analysis which is held in Betro State Elementary School district Kemlagi Mojokerto. The techniques used in collecting the data were interview, observation, and documentation. The data validation that has been used was source and technique triangulation. The data analysis technique have been done by data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification.
The result of the research shows that the learning of Gita Laras Karawitan musical arts extracurricular in state elementary school Betro aims to preserve Indonesian original traditional arts and as a place to develop the students’ talents and interests. The extracurricular is followed by 23 male students which divided into two group practice. The material given to each group was different according to the difficulty. The methods use in the practice were, drill, mentoring and lecturing with board and students’ notes as the media. The learning results obtained by the students are satisfactory, 14 students got an A (excellent) and 9 students with a grade of B (good). Student assessment based on criteria created by the coach. The students who got an A have right to join with the main team and preparing for the competition. It took at least 2 months for intensive training preparation for the competition. The material taught adjusted to the theme of the competition that will be followed. The music arranger of Gita Laras always prepare a well prepared material in order to obtain the best results. As a record, 21 championships have been obtained by Gita Laras until now. Achievement in sectional, regional and national level competitions.
