PENGEMBANGAN BUKU PANDUAN TEKA-TEKI SILANG PADA PEMECAHAN MASALAH ANAK KELOMPOK B

Penelitian pengembangan buku panduan teka-teki silang ini dilatar belakangi oleh guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengenalkan pembelajaran yang mampu mengasah kemampuan kognitif anak dalam lingkup pemecahan masalah sehingga perlu dilakukan sebuah pengembangan buku panduan teka-teki silang. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di sekolah khususnya kelompok B dalam kegiatan teka-teki silang anak-anak memiliki kendala saat mengerjakan teka-teki silang yang diungkapkan oleh beberapa guru kelas saat wawancara adalah anak-anak cenderung mengalami kesulitan yang sama yaitu tidak semua anak mengenal lambang huruf, tidak semua anak memahami pertanyaan yang diberikan, adanya huruf sama yang seharusnya tidak ditulis kembali pada kolom yang sama juga anak belum mengetahui petunjuk mendatar dan menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru kelas kelompok B untuk mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif dalam lingkup pemecahan masalah anak dengan menghasilkan produk buku panduan teka-teki silang yang layak. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE. Model ini terdiri dari lima langkah terstruktur yaitu : 1) Analisis, 2) Perencanaan, 3) Pengembangan, 4) Pelaksanaan, 5) Evaluasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 35 guru kelas kelompok B, ahli materi, dan ahli media. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan angket. Berdasarkan kedua analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku panduan teka-teki silang yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam kegiatan teka-teki silang untuk pembelajaran kognitif dalam lingkup pemecahan masalah anak kelompok B. Analisis hasil angket oleh 35 guru memperoleh “kriteria sangat baik dengan keterangan efektif” (82, 67%), ahli materi “kriteria baik sekali dengan keterangan efektif” (83, 75%), ahli media “kriteria sangat baik dengan keterangan efektif” (92%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka buku panduan teka-teki silang ini memberikan implikasi dalam pemecahan masalah anak pada kegiatan teka-teki silang.

Abstract

Research on the development of this crossword manual book was set a background by a teacher who had difficulty in recognizing learning which could enhance the children’s cognitive ability in the scope of problem solving so it required to be done some developing a manual book of crosswords. Based on the observation in the school, especially group B in crosswords activity, the children had problem when they were doing the crosswords which was expressed by several teacher classes during interview i.e. the children tended to have the same difficulty that not all the children recognized the capital sign, not all the children understood the question given, there were same letters which should be written back to the same column, and also the children did not know the direction of across and down. This research had purpose to help teachers of group B to develop cognitive ability in the scope of the children’s problem solving by producing a manual book product of crosswords which was proper. The developing method used was ADDIE method. This model consisted of five structured steps i.e. 1) analysis, 2) planning, 3) developing, 4) implementing, 5) evaluation. This research was set a background by a teacher who had difficulty in recognizing learning which could enhance the children’s cognitive ability in the scope of problem solving so it required to be done some developing a manual book of crosswords. The subjects of this research were 35 class teachers of group B, material experts, and media experts. The data collection of this research was done by interview and questionnaire. Based on both data analysis, it could be concluded that the manual book of crosswords developed was proper to be used in crosswords activity for cognitive learning in “very good criteria with effective information” (82,67%), material expert “very good criteria with effective information” (83,75%), media expert “very good criteria with effective information” (92%). Based on the research result, the manual book of crosswords have implications in the learning problem solving to crosswords activity.
