PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA KOMIK IPA TERPADU TEMA PENCEMARAN AIR SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN UNTUK SISWA SMP KELAS VII

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kelayakan media komik IPA terpadu tema pencemaran air  yang dikembangkan berdasarkan kelayakan teoritis yaitu hasil validasi Dosen dan Guru IPA, dan berdasarkan kelayakan empiris yaitu respon siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan model 4-D (4-D models) yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu: pendefinisian (Define), perancangan (Design), pengembangan (Develop), dan penyebaran (Disseminate). Namun penelitian ini dibatasi sampai pada tahap pengembangan (Develop). Tahap define didapat bahwa SMP Negeri 1 Babat  menggunakan kurikulum KTSP, namun dalam implementasinya belum mengajarkan IPA secara terpadu. Tahap design menghasilkan desain awal komik dan draf 1. Tahap develop didapatkan saran untuk perbaikan komik dari draf 1 menjadi draf 2. Selanjutnya media komik divalidasi oleh 2 Dosen ahli FMIPA serta 2 Guru dari SMP Negeri 1 Babat dan diujicobakan secara terbatas pada 15 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Babat. Metode  pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dan dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media komik IPA terpadu tema pencemaran air  yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan. Persentase kelayakan berdasarkan hasil validasi dari dosen dan guru IPA sebesar 90,1% (sangat layak). Siswa memberikan respon positif sebesar 92,7% (sangat layak).

Abstract

The research purposed to get the feasibility of the development of educational comic integrated science media with theme water pollution’s which feasible based on theoretical validation result from Univercity level instructors and Mathematical and natural sciences’s Teachers and based on empirical student response.  Plan of this research using 4-D models which are consist of 4 stage’s included Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. But this research is just pointed on develop stage. On define’s stage is found that SMP N I Babat using KTSP curriculum but it’s implementation has not been tough science lesson in integrated manner. Design’s stages produces a designing first comic media and draft 1. Develop’s satges  acquired suggestions for improvement of the draft 1 to draft 2. And then comic media which developed valuated by 2 Univercity level instructors of Mathematical and science’s faculty Of Surabaya State University and 2 Mathematical and natural sciences’s Teacher of junior high school, and students of junior high school and tried limited on 15 junior high school students of SMP N I Babat grade VII. To collecting data, the method which is used are questionnaire and data analysis method. Result of this research shows that Development Of Educational Comic Media Integrated Science With Theme Water Pollution For Junior High School Class VII were developed feasible to be used. The feasibility percentage based on validation result of lecturer and Mathematical and natural sciences’s Teacher was 90.1% (very feasible). Student giving good response was 92,7% (very feasible).
