PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA DENGAN MENERAPKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING PADA SUB MATERI SIFAT-SIFAT CAHAYA

Abstrak

Hasil prapenelitian yang dilakukan di SMPN 3 Mojokerto.memiliki keterampilan proses masih rendah. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang menerapkan keterampilan proses sains adalah pembelajaran discovery learning. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan.peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa di kelas VIII pada sub materi sifat-sifat cahaya berdasarkan pretest dan postest. Desain penelitian ini adalah pre eksperimenttal dengan menggunakan rancangan One Group Pretest – Postest Design. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive.sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan metode tes yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diuji gain.ternormalisasi untuk melihat.peningkatan keterampilana proses sains. Berdasarkan hasil gain ternormalisasi diperoleh skor gain sebesar 0,62 dan semua.aspek keterampilan proses.sains yang dilatihakn memperoleh kategori.peningkatan sedang.

Abstract

The results of the pre-research conducted at Mojokerto Junior High School 3 have process skills still low. One learning model that applies science process skills is discovery learning. The study aims to describe the improvement of science process skills of students in class VIII on sub-material light properties based on the pretest and posttest. The design of this study was pre experimental, using the design of One Group Pretest - Postest Design. Determination of samples is done by using purposive sampling technique. Methods of collecting data using the test method given before and after learning. The data obtained then tested normalized gain to see an increase in the skills of the science process. Based on the results of the normalized gain obtained a gain score of 0.62 and all aspects of the science process skills that were trained gained.a.moderate.increase.category.
